About the diamond drain
The Diamond model is Canzeno’s own design. We draw and mould the drain in-house, and the floor is cut in sharp diagonal lines that run to it, so the slope becomes part of the tile pattern instead of a grate in the middle of the floor.
The removable cover sits flush with the tile. It is available with a left, right or centre drain and as a double threshold.
Like every Canzeno base, it is built in our Richmond Hill shop to the size and drain position measured in your bathroom, waterproofed in layers and finished in your own tile, then delivered ready to install.
How it’s built
Five layers, finished in our shop
Built and checked in our shop, so the slope, the waterproofing and the drain are right before anything reaches your home.

- 5Integrated perimeter flangeLaps under the wall waterproofing so the edges stay sealed, around an integrated drain.
- 4Waterproof XPS foam backerA high-density XPS foam base that keeps the system light and dry.
- 3High-density structural coreCarries the load and holds the slope without a mortar bed.
- 2Composite reinforcementThe main waterproof layer: a reinforced composite skin under the tile.
- 1Non-slip, large-format tileThe tile you choose, cut and sloped to the drain in our shop.

More from the Canzeno system
All shower basesAn acrylic base comes in stock sizes and is plastic. A traditional tiled base is built on site with a mortar bed and a membrane. Ours is fully custom and tiled like a traditional base, but it is built off-site with a layered waterproof structure, so it goes in faster and without the mess on site.
Yes. The base is built with a multi-layer waterproofing system and an integrated perimeter flange to protect against leaks and moisture over the long term.
No. We build it in our shop, which allows better quality control, faster installation and far less mess in your home.
Yes. Each base is built to your space: size, slope, drain type and position, threshold and tile finish.
A tub to shower or tub to tub conversion takes 3–4 days, and a full bathroom renovation 7–9 days. The base is built and tiled in our shop first, so the time on site stays short.
